ABOUT JASON BRIDGES

 

Energy Industry Executive and Founder Jason Bridges has a wealth of experience and an enviable track record in electric energy markets, including  wholesale brokerage, electricity trading, retail provisioning, and energy consulting.

 

Recognized for his prior success in wholesale electric energy, Jason was instrumental in the startup of a US retail energy division, Direct Energy, for Centrica PLC. Jason served as Vice President of Customer Operations and Business Development for Direct Energy’s Texas business. He directed all customer operations to include billing, EDI transaction management, ERCOT and TDSP settlements/client relations, and REP relations. 

 

At the onset of his career, Jason partnered in creating an electricity brokerage business targeting energy trading firms and was instrumental in creating a secondary ERCOT trading market with the first OTC trade. He then joined Entergy Power Marketing and Trade before accepting a director-level position at Shell Trading structuring electricity transactions for power marketers, municipalities, cooperatives, and retail electric providers in ERCOT and SERC.

 

In 2006 Jason founded JC Bridges Energy Consulting, LLC and ElectricityShop^TM providing industry expertise to startup Retail Electric Providers, commercial and industrial electricity customers, and the midstream and pipeline natural gas industry.  Services include business process development, systems implementation, site feasibility studies for large electric loads, infrastructure cost analysis, utility “aid to construction” negotiation, project management, power resource evaluation, rate structure analysis, market forecasting, energy budget development, electricity procurement and contract management.
